OT: Friday Night Horns For Your Horns

The audio sucks on this first vid, but the wood 1505's under 311-90's(or are they 1504's? they seem big for 1505) are a must see, i really dig the heavily acoustically treated room, i bet it sounds fabulous: ?‡‘?”?式?‚??ƒ??ƒ—??‹?”?試聴??š - YouTube

Play this for good audio: Count Basie - Blues in Hoss' Flat - YouTube

But they aren't 311-90's maybe a close facsimile..If you look at the top you can see flat brackets that protrude out to the side, on 311's they are oriented up and down and are built into the horn..

Thanks for the Count Basie song link. It reminds we of when i was in highschool and would borrow my dad's car at noon Friday skipping school, drive 500 miles for many concerts (saw Count Basie three times), and drive back, having the car in the garage in time for my dad to go to work on Saturday morning. Until the time I got in a car accident and had to call him...

Yes, interesting horn set up, bet it sounds fabulous. Any guesses as to what the enclosures are underneath them? Think I could see part of a flair. Big, what ever they are.

You're right AB! i was assuming those are small "L" brackets left attached to the horn. After seeing the close-up those look to be part of the casting, and i don't think they're large enough for 311 either. Amazing how daytime sobriety can change your perception.

Definitely large flares in the bass cabs, wondering if they are a custom job based on 210. Note that while "toed in" the front of the cabinet remains tight against the side wall. So, it's probably a safe assumption that they are not rectangular front to back.
